Child Care Cove came to me with a clear goal: to create a brand that reflects their dedication to nurturing, safe, and flexible child care. They’re a trusted, licensed child care service based in Brick, New Jersey, offering both in-home and mobile event child care.
Whether it’s taking care of children in the founder Nicole’s home or creating a fun, safe space at events, Child Care Cove focuses on making kids feel secure and happy while giving parents peace of mind. Nicole wanted a brand that communicates these values while standing out to families in her community.

We leaned into the concept of a "cove" as a safe haven, using it as the foundation for both the messaging and visuals. This helped connect the brand’s personality to its purpose—creating a secure, happy space for kids, no matter the setting.
With a solid strategy in place, we moved on to building a visual identity that reflected these principles and made Child Care Cove’s brand feel approachable, trustworthy, and joyful.
The Look: Creating a Visual Identity
Once we had a clear strategy, we moved on to the visuals. Nicole walked away with a complete brand kit that included everything she needed to promote her business and connect with families. Here’s what we created:
Logo Suite: A primary logo featuring a rainbow and heart inside a cove. The design symbolizes love, safety, and joy in the care Nicole provides. The suite includes six variations to adapt to different uses, like business cards, social media, and uniforms.
Color Palette: Navy and baby blue to represent calmness, trust, and the cove aesthetic, and baby pink and light yellow to add warmth and a playful touch. These colors create a balance that appeals to parents and children alike.
Custom Icons: Handprint, heart, puzzle piece, and rainbow icons for additional branding elements that Nicole can use across marketing materials.
Typography: Playful yet professional fonts to keep the brand approachable and polished.
Brand Collateral: T-shirts for casual uniforms, Business cards to showcase professionalism, Stickers for promotional use, and Polos for events and client-facing interactions.
Each element worked together to create a cohesive, approachable, and versatile brand that Nicole could confidently use for both in-home and even childcare services.
